We are currently assisting our client with a Controller search near Minneapolis, MN. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and managing the financial and accounting activities including month end close, maintenance of general ledger and financial audits for the operations. They will be expected to provide leadership to others and aid in the development of personnel from a financial and internal control perspective.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly forecasting and provide the necessary financial analysis
• Coordinate, perform, and/or supervise audit activities of internal, government and/or third parties
• Develop and implement plant accounting control procedures, ensure the reliability of data, and comply with general accepted accounting principles and company policies
• Prepare the monthly plant forecasts and variance analysis along with financial reporting and the annual budget process
• Provide technical direction for accounts payable and receivables, customer invoices and combined office purchases
• Responsible for quarterly and annual inventory counts in addition to weekly cycle count programs
• Provide leadership in productivity opportunities and associated financial analysis and reporting
• Capital project preparation, project accounting, post project follow-up and review

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
• 5 years’ experience in comparable position

Total Compensation:

• $130,000 – $150,000
