Director of Quality

We are currently assisting our client with a Executive Director of Quality to lead the transformation of the quality systems and vision frameworks for a global manufacturing organization. This role is critical to enhancing operational excellence and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of lean manufacturing processes and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with organizational goals, ensuring robust quality systems that support our commitment to excellence.
- Spearhead the transformation of quality systems, leveraging advanced methodologies, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality team, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of quality initiatives and ensure accountability for results.
- Ensure that all quality practices comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest levels of product quality and safety.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, ensuring that quality is embedded in every aspect of operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of successfully leading quality transformations and driving operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of DFMEA and other quality methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in using data to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
