Marketplace Logistics Manager

We’ve been retained to help our client with a Marketplace Logistics Manager search. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this manager is responsible for overseeing the entire process of storing, picking, packing, and shipping products sold on third-party e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon as well as provide direction and organizational design to enable on-time shipments, manage logistic spend, and ensure delivery of high-quality products to ensure efficient order processing and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the logistic transportation network. This includes managing receiving, storage, counting, accuracy, all movement, and security of the inventory
• Manage the flow of orders from the marketplace to the customer, including receiving, processing, and fulfilling orders
• Coordinate inbound logistical planning of materials and products, including managing customs brokerages and trade compliance requirements for international shipping
• Develop and maintain outbound distribution network and negotiating carrier contracts
• Maintain and analyze logistics network and distribution center key metrics to improve departmental performance measures through the utilization of continuous improvement processes
• Manage resources to make real-time adjustments when needed and optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience at manager level related to logistics/distribution management
• Proven success in logistics negotiations and freight loading management
• Third-party e-commerce experience in fulfillment marketplaces like Amazon or Walmart

Total Compensation:

• Commensurate with Experience
