Vice President of Sales

We’re assisting a global leader within the aerospace industry with a Vice President of Sales search. The Vice President will report to a President and be responsible for the business’ commercial strategy and develop long-term sales goals. This is a highly visible, high-impact position where a successful candidate will have the opportunity to steer the success and growth of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales strategy to meet department objectives.
- Convert sales contracts and product agreements, renewals and expansions to current customers while growing relationship.
- Work cross-functionally with multiple departments to recommend and present product solutions.
- Address and manage customer concerns on business development projects.
- Sell existing products and introduces new product and technology concepts to customer.
- Perform market research as necessary.
- Assist internal engineering groups in developing cost information necessary to determine new product pricing.
- Suggest product modifications to assure that current and future products meet customers’ needs.
- Establish, develop, and execute marketing/sales strategies, plans, and sales forecasts based on current and projected customer orders.
- Support marketing/sales strategies established for assigned accounts.
- Control costs for projects in respective area.
- Build and lead high-performance, cross-functional sales team to consistently exceed targets through increased account penetration and loyalty.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales team management.
- 10+ years within Aerospace industry sales and marketing to OEM companies globally.
- Ability to travel.
